What does Anan Do?
top
  • Anan is a cloud storage service that lets you use keywords to find, preview, create and download PowerPoint™ slides through your internet browser. Leverage the work and knowledge you already have in your PowerPoint™ presentations, by using a simple tool bar where you type your keywords.

How does it work?
top

  • Anan remembers the content from each PowerPoint™ slide in a PowerPoint™ deck that you have stored. By keyword searching the contents of a slide, Anan quickly finds the relevant content from your library of content
  • And once you have created that new presentation, use the Anan ribbon insert in your PowerPoint™ toolbar to easily save it to your cloud.
How do I get an Account?
top

  • From the Home Page (www.AnanCloud.com), select Anan for PowerPoint in the Products dropdown. From the Anan for PowerPoint page, select Sign Up Free and follow the instructions to register for an Account with Anan.
  • Once you are registered, Anan will send you a User ID and a Password to login from the home page.
How do I upload PowerPoint files?
top

  • Anan works with PowerPoint™ 2007 and 2010 file formats (*.PPTX). Please contact us at support@Anancloud.com for a service that will upload your PowerPoint ™ decks which are older than 2007 (97-2003).
  • Follow these steps to upload a *.PPTX file:
    • After logging into Anan, click on the Add Files button from the Search page.
    • Under Add a File, click the Choose File button and select the PowerPoint file you want to upload from your file system.
    • Once uploaded, you can review and update the core data which is native for your PowerPoint™ file and for each slide in the presentation. Or, you can just save it as-is. Either way, your keyword search process will be just as powerful.
    • When you are finished, click Upload to complete loading your file to your Anan cloud.
    • Your PowerPoint™ file has now been added to your Anan Cloud and will be included in all future keyword search requests.
How do I keyword search?
top

Searching is simple. Go to the Anan Search page and enter keywords in the search box. Anan will quickly find all the slides that contain one or more of your search terms in the slide text. Search results are displayed with a thumbnail of the slide and a preview of the slide taxonomy categories. Search terms are highlighted in Yellow if they are visible in the Preview.
  • Your three word terms when separated by a comma (,) will have Anan locate all the content in your slides that contain one or more of the search terms.
    • i.e.: new, car, smell will return all the slides that contain the words new or car or smell in the slide text or in the meta data of the slide taxonomy.
    • Anan will also return the complete PowerPoint file for download when it contains one or more slides with the search terms.
  • Your three word terms, or any combination of them when NOT separated by a comma (,), will have Anan locate all the content in your slides where these three words appear as a phrase in your slides.
  • Your search results are presented beginning with the whole presentation available for download followed by all the slides in that presentation that contain one or more of your search terms.
  • You can preview search results by slide and you can select one or more slides for inclusion into a new PowerPoint™ presentation which you can download to your local computer. You can also download the complete presentation in which those slides occur, the choice is yours.
In what order are Search results returned?
top

  • In ascending order from the date the PowerPoint™ presentation was created. Slides from that presentation containing one or more search terms are returned in the order they appear in the originating PowerPoint™ file.
